Abri-Soft is a range of eco-labeled underpads made from carefully selected raw materials. At our production facility in France our products undergo thorough testing and control in order to guarantee they live up to the highest standards for safety, environment and health.
All products in the bed protection range are composed of different layers and materials. Combined, they provide the best possible protection and comfort.
The main materials used in Abri-Soft include:
Our Abri-Soft SUPERDRY range also includes SAP (Super-Absorbent Polymers). SAP absorbs and retains the liquid even under pressure, and protects against odor. SAP can absorb 35-50 times its own weight. SAP absorbs liquid inside the underpad and turns it into gel, keeping the surface dry longer. This makes it an essential material in the Abri-Soft SUPERDRY range.
Third-party certifications support our claims that Abri-Soft is composed of the best raw materials.
Certificates are only applicable to products with the certificate visible on the packaging.
FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide. FSC™-certified products are made from raw materials from well-managed forests and responsible sources. The label’s traceability and integrity are upheld through stringent control measures, and by choosing FSC™-certified products, you help take care of forests and the people and wildlife that call them home. Abri-Soft is available in many different absorbency levels, each consisting of a unique combination of absorbing material. Different factors have an impact on the absorption level. The amount of fluff and SAP are the most important factors, but the non-embossed surface in Abri-Soft increases the fluff absorption efficiency.
The new M3 machine, on which Abri-soft is produced, applies the fluff directly onto the nonwoven, which makes for the most even distribution. This makes it possible to produce very thin underpads with a low amount of fluff.
In-house quality control is performed both automatically and manually. This tradition for regular, ongoing control not only means we know Abri-Soft products always live up to our high requirements, it also means optimizing energy and natural resources because we avoid unnecessary production stops or wasted products.
Abri-Soft is produced on one of the most innovative and modern machines in the world, featuring automatic quality control, including video and weight control.
Manual in -house quality testing is performed regularly as spot checks and on-demand . This extra layer of security and agility means the production can be adapted in real-time as soon as any issues are discovered. And for tenders and specific projects, we perform on-demand quality control that includes testing absorbency levels.
For spot checks, several tests are performed including checking the weight and size of the package as well as the individual product. A random selection of products are checked manually according to a set list of specifications, including to check for leakage.
